On Wednesday, 28th November 2007, the AS Performing Arts students planned, created and produced an evening of family entertainment based around the theme of magic.
The first half was a humorous and varied format of song, dance and drama based around a crazy clairvoyant and his crystal ball with all acts being performed by the students. For the second half of the evening we were entertained by a professional magician whom the students were expected to raise enough money to pay! By fund raising activities (cake sales, kissing booths and teachers’ car washing) and pro-active ticket selling, they not only achieved this but also made a profit.
The students did not only perform in this show, they also became the production team covering many roles within the three areas of technical, marketing and administration. A lot of time and effort, and a huge success!
Well done Year 12.
