Bromley School Sport Partnership organised a Dance Competition on Tuesday 11th March 2008. All local secondary schools were invited to participate and a total of 12 schools entered, including Charles Darwin.
Having organised our own internal dance competition we allowed the two group winners the opportunity to represent Charles Darwin. Four Year 8 students - Giovanna Ash, Molly Coomer, Lauren Martin and Sophie Clegg joined our Year 11 winners Emma Gower and Emily King to perform together in a combined piece. The choreography was completely the students own work.
I am delighted to say they won the award for best overall performance!
The competition was actually very fierce and there were some excellent entries. I’d really like to say how proud I am of all the girls, not only for winning, but for their attitude and support to other competitors, they were great! We conducted ourselves brilliantly, won a fantastic trophy, and had a great day - a real credit to Charles Darwin School
