A huge congratulations and thank you to those KS3 pupils who were selected and went to
see the London Symphony Orchestra perform at the Barbican this term. The pupils were
outstandingly well behaved and were an absolute pleasure to be with. The concert was
specially designed by the LSO for KS3 pupils and was excellent in that cameras had been
erected across the orchestra to enable close ups of the instruments to be seen on a huge
screen. A presenter explained features of each piece before it was performed and at one
stage had the entire hall of children performing their own vocal and rhythmic part alongside
the LSO.
