As exams go, I’m not one to get too excited but when it comes to Performing Arts it’s difficult not to. This year was no different... Oh, but it was!

For their Advanced Performance Practice Year 13 were given the opportunity to perform the complete production of “Schools Will Rock You”. An enormous challenge and one which they attacked with enthusiasm and hard work. They directed, choreographed, designed and organised the whole show, and finally performed on 10th, 11th and 12th February.

It was one of the best experiences of my life and I know they feel the same. They rocked, rolled and danced through a two-hour show with vigour and excitement. It was totally professional and wonderfully supported by Mrs Dwyer and the Year 12 Performing Arts group as backing singers; I know they enjoyed the experience too.

I would like to thank all the staff and pupils who helped to make this production a success. But, finally, thanks to a brilliant bunch of students, they now have to create their final exam piece to perform in June, one night only. DON’T MISS IT!
