The show reached new heights this year through the diversity of the songs performed and the professionalism of our students. Over ten bands took part in the show and the judges had a difficult task in choosing winners for the different categories.
All the bands had to pass an audition to reach the show itself and therefore deserve praise as the standard continues to rise, thanks to the quality of the students involved. There are always questions raised about the decisions made and that is always a sign of audience commitment to the bands involved. Next year will see a development in the format to incorporate audience opinion. This year’s guest judge, Lois Acton, has an active interest in our students and we will continue to develop links with her foundation, Grassroots Inc.
